The Battle of the Birds

The battle takes place at the close of every year. The son of the Emperor of France intercedes in the battle and saves a raven. His son after him is thenceforth drawn into a surreal series of challenges to win the hand of the daughter of a giant. But who gets to show their mettle – himself or the giant’s daughter?
